The history of Kai Design begins in 1908 in the picturesque town of Seki, where Saijiro Endo founded the Kai Group. His revolutionary vision took traditional Japanese knives beyond the borders of the Japanese island, introducing the brand in Europe in 1980 and consolidating globally in 1992. Since then, Kai has become a name synonymous with quality and innovation in the blade industry. The Shun series, famous for its damask blades, is the perfect example of this combination, combining the ancient art of samurai sword with modern techniques.
